Organic-Bio Carob Powder, 200g Carob (Ceratonia siliqua) is native to the Mediterranean region and has been used for centuries. It has a mild, naturally sweet flavour often compared to cocoa but without the bitterness. This product is vegan and gluten-free. Uses: Carob powder works well as a cocoa substitute in baking, and its natural sweetness means less added sweetener is needed. Sprinkle it over cereal or yoghurt, blend it into smoothies and oatmeal, add it to trail mixes, or use it as a natural thickener for sauces. A suggested serving is 1 to 2 tablespoons (15 to 30 grams) per day.
