Organic-Bio Apple Geranium Herb Tea, 50g Apple Geranium (Pelargonium spp.) originates in South Africa and was introduced to Europe in the 17th century. Its leaves carry a fragrant, apple-like aroma and a delicate apple flavour, making it a popular ingredient in both beverages and cooking. Features: Ingredient: Apple Geranium (Pelargonium spp.) Caffeine-free Vegan, contains no animal-derived components Gluten-free Bio-organic, grown without synthetic fertilisers or pesticides Uses: Beverages: infuse in hot or cold drinks. Culinary: use as a flavouring in desserts, salads and sauces. Aromatherapy: use the dried leaves in potpourri. Nutritional facts (per 1 teaspoon, 5g): Calories 5, Carbohydrates 1.2g, Protein 0.1g, Fat 0.05g, Vitamin A 3% DV, Vitamin C 4% DV. Suggested portion: 1 to 2 teaspoons (5 to 10 grams). Simple recipe, Apple Geranium Tea: steep 2 teaspoons of leaves in 1 cup of boiling water for 5 minutes, strain and sweeten with agave or maple syrup if desired. Serve hot, or refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Storage: keep in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
