Natural Efe Kala Namak Black Salt, 250g Kala Namak, or black salt, is an unrefined volcanic rock salt from Pakistan with a distinctive sulfurous aroma and tangy taste. A traditional heating process gives it its characteristic dark colour and pungent flavour. It naturally contains minerals such as iron. Uses: Season chutneys, salads, fruit, and savoury snacks, or add to Indian dishes such as chaat, raita, and pickles. Its egg-like aroma also makes it popular in vegan cooking, including tofu scrambles and plant-based egg salads. Suggested serving: 1 gram (about 1/4 teaspoon). Use sparingly.
