Organic Corn Starch Flour, 500g, by Macrobiotic World. A clean, natural thickener made from non-GMO corn grown without synthetic pesticides or chemicals. Certified organic, gluten-free, vegan, and free from added sugar. Ingredient: Organic corn (Zea mays), sourced from organically managed farms. Nutritional information (per 100g): Energy 381 kcal; Total fat 0.1 g (saturated 0 g); Carbohydrates 91.3 g; Dietary fibre 0.9 g; Protein 0.3 g; Sodium 9 mg; Calcium 2 mg; Iron 0.5 mg; Potassium 3 mg; Total sugar 0 g; Added sugar 0 g. Uses: Thickens soups, stews, sauces, gravies and desserts such as puddings and custards. Retains moisture in cakes, cookies and breads, and works as a coating for crisp fried tofu or vegetables. Combine with nutritional yeast, plant milk and seasoning for a creamy vegan cheese sauce, or mix 1 tablespoon with 2 tablespoons of water as a binder in baking. Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from moisture and seal tightly after each use. Discard if clumping, mould or off odours appear. Packed in recyclable packaging.
