Organic Dong Quai Powder Made from the roots of Angelica sinensis, this bio-organic Dong Quai Powder is vegan and gluten-free. It has a distinctive earthy, slightly bitter flavor that works well in both sweet and savory recipes. Uses: Add 1 to 2 teaspoons to teas, soups, stews, smoothies, or desserts, or use as a spice or seasoning. Nutritional information (per 1 teaspoon): Calories 10 kcal, carbohydrates 2 g, protein 0.5 g, fat 0 g. Contains iron, vitamin B6, and calcium, each at approximately 10% of the daily value. Suggested serving: 1 to 2 teaspoons (5 to 10 grams). Recipe, Vegan Dong Quai Latte: 1 cup almond milk, 1 teaspoon Dong Quai Powder, 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup, a pinch of cinnamon. Heat the almond milk until hot but not boiling, whisk in the remaining ingredients, and serve hot. Not recommended during pregnancy.
