Organic/BIO Spices & Herbs, Dried Garlic Flakes, 100g Dried garlic flakes (Allium sativum) deliver a savory, earthy aroma and a deeper, more mellow flavor than fresh garlic. They rehydrate easily and blend into stews, casseroles, marinades, soups, and stir-fries, and work well sprinkled over salads or pizza or infused into olive oil for breads and dips. Product features: vegan, free from animal-derived ingredients; gluten-free; organically grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers; cultivated using environmentally responsible methods. Nutritional facts (per tablespoon, 10g): 42 kcal, carbohydrates 9g, protein 1.8g, fat 0.1g, vitamin B6 13% DV, manganese 23% DV, selenium 6% DV. Recipe suggestion, garlic rice: heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a pan and add 2 tbsp dried garlic flakes. Add 2 cups rice and stir for 2 minutes, then add 4 cups water, salt, and 1 bay leaf and cook until done. Serve hot with a side salad or vegetable curry.
