Organic/Bio Awase Miso, 200g Awase Miso is a traditional Japanese blend of fermented rice and barley miso, combining the richness of rice with the milder character of barley. Made without chemical additives, it is a versatile staple of authentic Japanese cooking. Nutrition (per 1 tablespoon, 15g): 35 kcal, protein 2g, carbohydrates 4g, fat 1g, sodium 6% DV, zinc 4% DV. Suggested serving: 1 to 2 tablespoons (15 to 30g). Recipe ideas: Vegan miso soup: Boil 2 cups water with 1 sheet of seaweed, remove the seaweed, stir in 1 tablespoon Awase Miso, add half a block of cubed tofu and simmer 2 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon agave nectar and serve hot with chopped green onions. Refrigerate up to 2 days. Miso salad dressing: Whisk 1 tablespoon Awase Miso, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon maple syrup until smooth. Drizzle over salads. Keeps up to 3 days.
